The Edmonton Oil Kings went down to Calgary, drank their pop, ate their popcorn and went home with the victory! Two seconds remained on the clock when Clayton Cumiskey broke the hearts of Hitmen fans. The 'Dome had been in a frenzy as Calgary had tied the game with 55 seconds left. Suck it Calgary...eerr...I mean Craig McCallum, Karey Pieper, and Brenden Dowd each had a goal and an assist in the game.
2008-09

Torrie Jung stopped all 29 shots he faced as the Oil Kings defeated the now named Wenatchee Wild. T.J. Foster led the offence with a goal and an assist. The game ended in quite the brouhaha with both team's coaching getting misconduct penalties and multiple fights on the ice.
2009-10

The capital W in Wednesday stood for a big win for the Oil Kings as they defeated Seattle 7-1. In net for the Thunderbirds, a Mr. Calvin Pickard. Brent Raedeke had a hat-trick of assists and Brett Breikreuz had a pair of goals to pace the offense. Torrie Jung with 24 saves in the win.
2011-12
Of 40 shots on net, only Dylan Wruck was able to score for the Oil Kings on this night in Regina. Laurent Brossoit stopped 24 of 27 shots he faced.
2012-13

The Oil Kings broke open a tight game with three third period goals to skate away with a 5-1 win over the Vancouver Giants. T.J. Foster and Michael St. Croix each had a goal and an assist. Tristan Jarry with 29 saves in the win.
2015-16
A Wednesday night in Prince Albert did not go well. The Oil Kings were shut out.
2016-17
Two first period powerplay goals by Calgary made it an uphill battle for the Oil Kings. Lane Bauer and Nick Bowman brought the Oil Kings to within one but the hill was to steep to climb on this night.
2018-19

The Oil Kings won 7-2 on Friday in Kootenay, 5-2 vs Saskatoon Saturday in Edmonton, and had enough in the tank to beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-3 on this Sunday afternoon. Quinn Benjafield and Jake Neighbours each had two goals. Trey Fix-Wolansky had a hat-trick assists adding a goal. Boston Bilous made 21 saves in the victory.
2022-23

2023-24

In a game the Oil Kings were outshot 40-28, a 5:36 spell in the second period earned the team a victory they maybe did not deserve. Kolby Hay made 36 saves in the winning effort. Marshall Finnie and Adam Jecho each with a goal and an assist.
2024-25
A wild Monday night in Tri-City resulted in the Oil Kings on the wrong end of a 6-5 score. Miroslav Holinka was the only Edmonton player to collect more than one points getting a goal and an assist.
