Love Pro Wrestling (LPW) emanates out of The Rec Room South Edmonton Common every last Friday of the month. It was LPW 2: Don't Wanna Grow Up on March 25, 2022 that Len and Paige came on board as merchandise volunteers aiding Byron and Kristy who look after the door. Over the course of three years, the merchandise collection in our respective closets is much like the wrestling roster itself: stacked!
The criteria for the Top 10 list is based solely on the authors opinion and is not associated with LPW. This is a fan and volunteer showing appreciation to the characters being presented to fans in storyline and appreciative of the time the people playing the characters freely give back to the fans and volunteers.
Please note, as this is a fan article the shirts are fan owned and therefore fan worn and not ironed (who irons their t-shirts?). Not all wrestlers are represented on this list and not all the shirts on the list are still in production. Whether you agree with the rankings or not, support your favourite wrestler by buying their merchandise.
Honourable Mention: The Rhinestone Cowboy
Steven Crowe's character "The Rhinestone Cowboy" has gone through quite a bit of change over the years. He does not two step anymore but during those fun times of the dancing cowboy, these two shirts hit the market.
10. The Intangible Zoë Sager
“"The Intangible” Zoë Sager, a former LPW Grand and Challenge Champion, has become the first-ever Canadian wrestler signed by WWE ID. The program, launched on October 29, 2024, is designed to “identify the top independent wrestling prospects with an official “WWE ID Prospect” designation and support their developmental journey”." Lovewrestling.ca
We will begin the list with the most straightforward and no nonsense design which reflects the character. It is great to see her hardwork and determination being noticed by the WWE.
9. The Short Kings
The friendship of Marz The Specialist and The Thickness Reid Matthews, in and out of the ring, will lead to an eventual match. Especially considering that Matthews can invoke the "Devil's Choice" and relinquish his Championship of Salvation for a shot at the LPW Grand Championship held by Marz.
To not stir the pot, number 9 goes to the shirt representing their group named the Short Kings while also showing off one of each specific wrestler.
8. Michael Richard Blais
The first LPW Champion, "God's gift to wrestling" Michael Richard Blais has made it his mission to bring salvation to wrestling. The current LPW Challenge Champion always brings his words of wisdom and necessary means of action wherever he performs. Show that you have been saved by wearing the shirt stating the one thing he preaches.
7. Para Lira
The team of Sheik Akbar Shabaz and Berat Gorani have this beautiful shirt available in a variety of colours. Sheik also has an "In Sheik We Trust" shirt available. "Son of Kosovo" Gorani also has his own shirt you should inquire about acquiring.
6. Love Pro Wrestling
Prior to each show the ring announcer and LPW founder Spencer Love says a version of the following:
"Any racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic or any other form of targeted hate will result in me personally escorting you the hell out of my show. Wrestling is everyone and I won't hear otherwise."
That makes this shirt perfect as it's genuine!
5. Don't Want To Grow Up
Whether or not you get the pop culture reference in the shirt above, you can appreciate the work and talent that went into drawing all 26 characters.
4. Jack Pride
Both Jack and Pride hit it out of the park with this design. The shirt also came in black but purple won the vote.
3. The Radz
The group of Rich King, T.Y. Jackson, Lumberjack Larry and at the time "Judge" Ben Oomen brought this near neon creation to life lighting up many a room. Mix in the fact they have the best entrance music (an article for another day) and use to sell foam fingers, The Radz are, well, rad! The group has a new shirt available with the following phrase:
"Touching tips, shaking hips, & winning championships"
2. Taryn from Accounting
This shirt predates LPW. This is also the back of the shirt instead of the front. Read the calculator.
1.Eli Surge
Eli Surge could almost have a top ten to himself. Bigfoot has made appearances at events while birds aren't real so this shirt gets the number 1 spot.
Upcoming LPW Shows
