CFL - WEEK 9 RESULTS

B.C. LIONS  35 - 19  WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

Which of these struggling teams is going to suck the best?…or worst?…You know what I mean! Winnipeg definitely did suck the best…or worst, and B.C. actually looked good.

MONTREAL ALOUETTES  34 - 13  OTTAWA REDBLACKS

The Als may head into this one thinking it will be easy, but Ottawa has shown signs of life! Did I say Ottawa has shown signs of life? Definitely not in this game!

CALGARY STAMPEDERS  44 - 20  HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

Will the Vernon Adams flawless aerial assault continue against a struggling Ticats team? Well, it wasn’t an aerial assault, but VA is still perfect!

SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS  28 - 26  EDMONTON ELKS

Does it matter what I write here? This should be another great entertaining battle! This was a battle! These two teams definitely hate each other and the West may be decided on the final game of the season between these two beasts.

CFL - BETTING & FANTASY

What a week for betting & fantasy picks! Five of our seven bets paid and our CFL Fantasy picks didn't do too bad either!

1. B.C. LIONS @ WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

❌Winnipeg ML or ❌-6.5/7.5. BC starting a new/inexperienced QB (Kaidon Salter expected) on short week in a tough road environment.

2. MONTREAL ALOUETTES @ OTTAWA REDBLACKS

✅Montreal ML /✅cover. Trap-game risk exists (short week + looking ahead to Edmonton), but talent gap is large vs. winless Ottawa. Montreal has been efficient and dominant.

3. CALGARY STAMPEDERS @ HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

✅Calgary -4.5. Adams Jr. is on a historic tear (long TD streak, zero INTs in that stretch). Calgary’s offence has been explosive; Hamilton’s defence is solid but faces a tough test.

4. SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS @ EDMONTON ELKS

✅Saskatchewan +1.5 / ✅ML value. Rematch of a 36-34 thriller. Both offences can explode, but Riders should tighten up defensively after allowing huge yardage. Close, hard-fought game expected.

5. FANTASY PICKS

  • Vernon Adams Jr. (CGY) and key receivers/RBs (including Tyreik McAllister) — Adams is on a historic efficiency run and Calgary’s offence has been putting up big numbers.
  • Cody Fajardo (EDM) and Trevor Harris (SSK) — Both lit it up in the Week 8 thriller; the rematch should still produce solid volume even if total yardage is slightly lower.
  • Montreal skill players (Davis Alexander, Travis Theis, top receivers) — High floor against a struggling Ottawa defence, though watch for any letdown.
  • Brady Oliveira (WPG) — Proven workhorse RB at home vs. a BC team in flux.
