There have been five games played on this day in Oil Kings history, three of them went into overtime. It can be said that the team have never lost in regulation time on this calendar date. At the very least tonight in Calgary, let's hope that statement stays true. Let's recollect!

Be sure to select your timeslot for tonight's game. Contest & rules is on Feacebook, X and Bluesky. Search "The Roil Line".

A trip to Medicine Hat exhausted the penalty killing unit, which finished perfect, as the Oil Kings took eight (8!) minors. Your best penalty killer is often your goaltender and on this night Tristan Jarry finished with 36 saves.

Blake Orban tied the game at the 7:54 mark of the third period, Ben Carroll scored the game winner with 1:58 remaining to somewhat steal the road the win for the Oil Kings.

This game was the home opener for the Oil Kings, shame the Club was late to the party. Goaltender Patrick Dea was asked to make twenty (20!) first period saves to keep the game scoreless.

The Rebels opened the scoring in the second period nearing the end of their second 5-on-3 powerplay advantage. Lane Bauer put the Oil Kings on the board at the 6:41 mark. Tyler Robertson gave Edmonton the lead at the 9:40 mark of the third period. A home team penalty with 37 seconds remaining resulted with the road team tying the game with 21 seconds remaining. A who's who of turn-of-the-decade OIl Kings!

Jake Neighbours and Dylan Guenther tallied opening period goals silencing the Saddledome crowd. With 56 seconds remaining in the second period Josh Williams re-silenced the 'Dome crowd by scoring to break the 2-2 tie. The Oil Kings were outshot 12-7 in the final frame ceding the tying the goal.
