The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) has announced their 2025 schedule. Our Edmonton Stingers will tip off the league’s 7th season on Sunday May 11th at The Edmonton Expo Center hosting the Calgary Surge. It will be the third consecutive season the Stingers begin their season against their season rivals. The Surge dashed the Stingers playoff hopes to prematurely end the 2024 season.
The CEBL expanded their regular season from 20 games to 24 games. The league will be starting a couple weeks earlier than usual and ending a couple weeks later to accommodate the extra games and keep good on their promise to spread the schedule out more than in years past.
The Stingers home schedule features six Sunday 4PM games, three Friday night games, and a spot in the Canada Day Tripleheader. Stingers home games have always featured affordable food and drink options helping you to get the most of your night out watching basketball.
The Stingers have an exclusive window to re-sign the players listed above before the beginning of free agency in Spring 2025. This a roster that will be without original Stingers Brody Clarke and Adika Peter-Mcneilly as they both retired.
Nic Hornsby and Elijah Miller would be entering season three with the Club. Edmontonian Ben Krikke and Canadians Mike Nuga and Isiah Osborne are all hopefully returnees.
See you in May.
