The Huntsville Havoc treated fans at the Von Braun Center to an intense two-night showdown on February 6th and 7th, 2026 against the Quad City Storm. On Friday February 6th, 2026, the Havoc hosted golf night allowing fans to play mini golf on the concourse in the arena. On Saturday February 7th, 2026, the Havoc held their annual team poster night. They gave out 2,500 posters and held a meet and greet after the game to allow fans to get their posters signed by the coaches and players.
Two Minute Madness Friday – February 6th, 2026
The Havoc set the tone for the weekend early, achieving a 5-2 victory over the visiting Storm. In the first period Havoc center Matt Allen assisted by team captain Dominick Procopio and defenseman Ben Schultheis securing the first goal of the game. In the second period the Storm fought back hard attempting to protect their zone and answer the Havoc goal unsuccessfully. Late in the second period, the Havoc were able to put three goals on board in less than two minutes. At 17:09 Frank Trazzera assisted by Dominick Procopio and Ben Schultheis put up the insurance goal for the Havoc. Around 26 seconds later Austin Alger assisted by Cole Golka and Giovanni Procopio slammed in another goal. A minute and 18 seconds later while on a power play Giovanni Procopio secured the third goal of the period assisted by Austin Alger and Josh Kestner. This flurry of goals plagued the Storm throughout the third period as they tried to answer each point on the board. Although the Storm was able to score twice early in the third, the Havoc wasn’t going to let their lead go that easily. Cole Golka had the answer sending the puck into the net, assisted by Kevin Weaver-Vitale and Giovanni Procopio
Saturday Showdown- February 7th, 2026.
The rematch on Saturday was a hard-fought victory for the Havoc, who completed the weekend sweep with a 4-2 victory over the Storm. Early in the first period the Storm put two goals on board. Plagued by penalties, the Storm gave up a goal in the first period when Josh Kestner was granted a penalty shot. In the second period the Havoc brought the game to a tie with a goal from Austin Alger assisted by Cole Golka. The Havoc defense was able to keep the Storm from putting another goal up the rest of the way through the game. Pushing to secure a regulation win the Storm struggled to contain the Havocs speed and physical play in the third period. With later period goals from Giovanni Procopio and Austin Alger both assisted by Cole Golka.
Staying at the Top of the Pack
This weekend sweep strengthens the Havocs position near the top of the SPHL standings, keeping them 2 points ahead of the Pensacola Ice Flyers in 2nd place of the standings. The Havoc return to action next weekend as they hit the road on Friday to play the Evansville Thunderbolts. Returning home the Havoc will play Knoxville on Sunday and head to Birmingham to play the Bulls on Monday.
