A special note about this day in Oil Kings history, in 2014 Curtis Lazar played his first NHL game for the Ottawa Senators. Lazar finished his Oil Kings career with 169 points in 199 regular season games. Curtis also had 53 points in 67 playoff games.
Ten of a possible eighteen possibilities, the Oil Kings have played on this date. The Club has three wins but is on a 4-game losing streak. Let's recollect!

Defencemen Griffin Reinhart and Mark Pysyk both registered a +4 on the night. This is interesting because the first three goals scored by Edmonton were each by different lines. Cam Lanigan's 23 saves earned him "third star".
2011-12

Third game in three days for the Oil Kings and they came out and outshot Swift Current 15-5 in the opening frame. The Broncos ended up outshooting the Edmonton 15-5 in the final frame but Laurent Brossoit stood tall. Stephane Legault scored a hat-trick to lead the Oil Kings offense.
