The only nifty part about the Regina Pats first ever trip to Edmonton was that Jordan Eberle scored a goal and an assist for the visitors. Oil Kings starting goalie Dalyn Flette only lasted 10:06 allowing three goals on nine shots. Regina outshot Edmonton 32-8 through the first two periods. Clayton Cumiskey scored twice in the final frame for the Oil Kings which counts as a second nifty part about the evening.
2011-12

Friday night in Moose Jaw saw the Oil Kings score all three of their goals in the third period. Martin Gernat with two goals led the charge. Laurent Brossoit made 22 saves in the victory.
2012-13
T.J. Foster became the first modern day Oil King to score 4 goals in a game. Despite the individual effort Edmonton still lost to Calgary at the accursed Saddledome in overtime 6-5. Four of Laurent Brossoit's 26 saves came in that overtime period.
2016-17
This was the second ever regular season home game for the Oil Kings at Rogers Place. 12,781 fans did not get to see a home team goal as all 38 shots were stopped. Liam Hughes with the hard luck loss allowing only one goal on 34 Kelowna Rockets shots.
2022-23

With 4 seconds left in the second period, Cole Miller made it 3-0 Edmonton in a very quiet Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. The Chiefs blitzed Kolby Hay in the final frame with 22 shots but only scored once.
2023-24
A powerplay goal by Adam Jecho opened the scoring for the Oil Kings who ended up outshooting the visiting Prince Albert Raiders 36-21. Edmonton lost 4-1. Kolby Hay with 17 saves in the loss.
