Roil Recollection: Oil Kings History on November 7

A month away from this year's edition of the Teddy Bear Toss game. This day in modern day Oil Kings history has not seen action since the 2015-16 season and if we are being honest, it was probably for the best.

The November "BC road trip" has been a staple of the Oil Kings from the beginning. The only game on this day not against a BC team was a win hosting the accursed Calgary Hitmen. Let's recollect!

2007-08

A five (5!) goal second period by the Oil Kings powered the Club to victory in Moose Jaw. Leading the offensive were Brent Raedeke with a goal and an assist with Cameron Cepak, Bretton Stamler and Tomas Vincour each with a pair of assists. Dalyn Flette made 29 saves and also had an assist.

2008-09

The score suggests the Oil Kings were Chilliwacked by the Bruins but Edmonton won the shot clock 38-19. Tomas Vincour assisted by Jeff Lee is how both Oil Kings goals read.

2009-10

A visit to Chilliwack once again, this time the Oil Kings collected a point. Brent Raedeke had a pair of third period goals helping force overtime. Clayton Cumiskey finished with a hat-trick of assists. Cam Lanigan with 24 saves in the losing effort.

2012-13

Stephen Schmoorkoff and Travis Ewanyk scored the Oil Kings goals in Kelowna. It was not enough. Laurent Brossoit stopped 20 of the 23 shots he faced.

2014-15

Tristan Jarry made 20 of this 35 saves in the opening period against the Kootenay Ice. Blake Orban and Brett Pollock had a pair of assists in the losing effort.

2015-16

Third period goals by Kobe Mohr and Brett Pollock gave the Oil Kings the victory over the acccursed Calgary Hitmen. Patrick Dea with 19 saves to do his part for the win.
