This day in the modern day history of the Oil Kings has not been kind. The couple highlights being 2-goal games by Brett's Breitkreuz and Pollock and a shutout by Sebastian Cossa. Let's recollect!
2008-09
Wednesday night in Regina ended with a dozen goals scored. Tied at 5 with 3:05 to go in the game, the Pats popped in two goals to win 7-5. Brett Breitkreuz led the charge for the Oil Kings with two goals and an assist. Brenden Down and Craig McCallum each had a pair of assists.
2009-10
Portland visited Rexall Place on a Thursday night and left with two points. Tyler Hlookoff tied the game for the Oil Kings at the 5:01 mark of the second period but the last three goals of the contest were scored by the Winterhawks.
2010-11
The good news is that the Oil Kings outshot Medicine Hat 31-27. The bad news is that Medicine Hat scored seven goals. Cameron Abney foiled the shutout bid for the Tigers.
2013-14
Curtis Lazar tied the game at one on a rare "powerplay penalty shot". Mitchell Moroz gave the Oil Kings the lead that until 17 seconds remained in the game. Leon Draisaitl scored the shootout winner for the Prince Albert Raiders.
2014-15

Brett Pollock scored two first period goals to get the Oil Kings off on the right foot. Edgars Kulka scored a shorthanded goal that make it 3-0 and stood as the game winner. Tristan Jarry made 20 saves in the win.
2017-18
Tomas Soustal assisted on both Oil Kings second period goals. A bench minor at the end of regulation time meant Edmonton started overtime shorthanded. Regina scored on that powerplay.
2021-22

Sebastian Cossa shutout the Lethbridge Hurricanes three times in '21-22, this was the first occasion. Cossa finished with 25 saves.
2023-24
Rilen Kovacevic finished an assist short of the Gordie Howe Hat-Trick. The Oil Kings fell short in the game as Red Deer scored three third period goals to pull away.
